A beautiful day in the neighborhood...

We knew that part of our day today would be going out to vote, and looking outside at the bright sunshine, it shaping up for a perfect opportunity to go for a walk with the family...
Despite some heavy resistance from our second dear daughter, we got them all on their bikes. We were able to make wonderful use of the pathways in the Nicomekl flats and took in the beautiful weather and nature while heading towards polling station at a school nearby. Fall is still my absolute favorite season, and today captured the beautiful colors and crisp air, the clear sky and fresh smells that makes fall so great.
Within a few minutes, our apprehensive daughter was laughing and having a great time as her confidence grew and before we knew it, dad no longer needed to be by her side. It was fantastic to enjoy a brisk walk while the kids are happily biking ahead.

We stopped at a playground and enjoyed hot chocolate and snacks...

Happy, healthy, and thriving from family time, as much as the parents are!

It was a wonderful mental health day amidst the stress of getting rid of lice! I'm so thankful this sun, this break, and this great family time!!
